Titletown Manufacturing boosts ability for machining small parts

New machine delivers enhanced productivity for precision small parts

Titletown Manufacturing has again ramped up its focus on efficiently machining small parts in Green Bay for OEMs throughout Wisconsin and North America with an investment in advanced production equipment.

With the addition of the Mazak Quick Turn Universal 250MY, Titletown Manufacturing can use the live tooling lathe to reduce setup times and provide cost-effective production benefits for customers.

“This machine enables our machinists to turn on the lathe and perform millwork at the same time,” explains Dan Hilliard, co-owner and director of operations for Titletown Manufacturing. “The machine can cut keyways in a shaft after it’s turned. It can also drill and tap holes both on-center and off-center.”

Machining small parts is important for military, automotive, OEM customers

The Mazak Quick Turn Universal 250MY features a maximum machining length of 23.7 inches and a maximum cutting diameter of 16.26 inches. When it comes to machining small parts, Titletown Manufacturing has equipment capable of producing parts as small as one-quarter inch round or square.

Titletown Manufacturing specializes in machining small parts for a variety of OEMs, including third-party suppliers for Department of Defense contractors in Wisconsin. The company’s ability to satisfy a wide range of orders, including the manufacture of replacement parts, makes it a valued supplier for multiple industries.

“This machine’s multi-tasking abilities deliver exceptionally high-quality performance and value for our customers,” explains Titletown Manufacturing co-owner and director of sales Chris Fuss. “The 250MY configuration brings a milling capability together with Y-axis functionality in one place, which enables our team to be machining small parts and larger parts in one setup, saving time.”

Titletown Manufacturing supplies high-quality replacement parts

Technology investments lead to enhanced quality and faster production times

Consistent investments in technology and a quality workforce have made Titletown Manufacturing LLC a trusted source for replacement parts in Green Bay. The respected Wisconsin company has been delivering services ranging from metal fabrication to complete machine assembly for more than 60 years.

Titletown Manufacturing has established itself as a regional specialist in the production of replacement parts in Green Bay, supplying high-quality parts for a wide range of OEMs throughout Wisconsin and North America.

“While we have expanded our operations over the years to be much more than a parts shop, our ability to fulfill significant runs of replacement parts in Green Bay certainly remains one of our core competencies,” says Chris Fuss, co-owner and director of sales for Titletown Manufacturing.

Technology contributes to replacement parts expertise

Titletown Manufacturing’s investment in technology and machining assets has positioned it to remain a leader in the production of replacement parts in Green Bay. An upgrade to the Mastercam software enables Titletown Manufacturing’s technicians to produce complex, custom-machined parts directly off models and files provided by customers, while the Mazak 5-axis machining center shortens set up times by processing five sides of a part in a single operation.

The Mazak 5-axis machining center is more accurate than previous machining centers because the workpiece can remain in place rather than moving across multiple workstations. Shrink fit tooling capabilities enhance part quality further by reducing vibration and allowing for faster and smoother cutting.

“Our investments in advanced technology allow us to achieve the tight tolerances our customers expect for their parts,” explains Titletown Manufacturing co-owner Dan Hilliard. “Particularly for companies looking for Wisconsin-based suppliers, there is no reason to look elsewhere for a replacement parts supplier.”
